More from Pittsburgh...

Pittsburgh has many opportunities to take in classical music in the summer.  AMC attended the every-Sunday "Bach, Beethoven, and Bagels" concert in Mellon Park.  The Aeolian Winds performed an hour and a half set of music, some from the classical world (excerpts from Peer Gynt) and some from the movie/TV world (Game of Thrones Theme).  The program was enjoyable, but the real treat was the whole event.  There were about 800 to 1,000 people in attendance, some with picket baskets, some who purchased breakfast items from a vendor.  There were children, their parents and their dogs, and elders.  Some were on picnic blankets, some of chairs- most huddled under trees to take advantage of the shade.  Some people brought small tables so they could play cards.  There were booths set up to provide information and the whole thing was hosted by Jim Cunningham, the voice of the Pittsburgh Symphony and WQED radio.  This is a great way to spend a Sunday morning, especially if the weather is right.
